The Queens delivery checklist
-
01
Licensed origin
Every legal cannabis delivery in Queens must originate from a NY OCM-licensed retailer. Confirm the license on cannabis.ny.gov before ordering. Unlicensed 'delivery services' operating in NYC are illegal, unregulated, and dangerous.
-
02
Same-day ETA under 90 minutes
Reputable NY delivery services target 60-90 minutes from checkout during open hours. If you're being quoted 3-4 hours consistently, the dispatcher is over-capacity or the service is not optimized for your area.
-
03
$100 minimum, $0 fee
The industry standard is a $100 pre-tax minimum with no delivery fee. Lower minimums often come with fees. Watch out for services that quote a low minimum but tack on 'service charges' or 'convenience fees' at checkout.
-
04
In-person, ID-verified handoff
New York requires the recipient to be 21+ and to verify ID in person at delivery. Doorman drop-offs, neighbor hand-offs, and leave-at-door are all illegal for cannabis. If a delivery service offers those, they're either non-compliant or lying about it.
-
05
Cash or debit only
Federal restrictions prohibit credit card processing for cannabis. Any Queens delivery service that accepts credit cards is either using a workaround that will eventually fail, or lying about the product being licensed cannabis.
-
06
Trackable, communicative driver
You should get an SMS with the driver's first name, ETA, and a phone number once dispatched. If you're not getting that, the service isn't investing in delivery ops.
-
07
Clear returns policy for defective items
Legal cannabis returns are limited by NY State law — but defective hardware (vapes, batteries) should always be covered. See our full returns policy.

How ZenZest delivery works, in one paragraph
Order on the Queens menu. Hit $100 pre-tax. Enter your address. You'll get an SMS confirmation within 60 seconds, then an SMS with driver ETA and contact info when dispatched (typically within 20 minutes of order). The driver will meet you at your door, verify your 21+ ID, hand over the sealed bag, and accept cash or debit. Total end-to-end time: 60-90 minutes during open hours. See our full delivery process for the step-by-step.
